Infirmary Centennial One hundred years ago, a group of prominent Mobile leaders fulfilled their dreams of “establishing an infirmary and school of nursing for a growing Mobile.” A $50,000 bond issue, along with fundraisers that included everything from pencil sales to sewing circles, funded construction of the 32-bed Mobile Infirmary. A century later, the 704-bed Mobile Infirmary Medical Center remains the cornerstone of Infirmary Health System.
